Drawn and welded steel enclosed square and rectangular sections - description
Drawn steel section tubes are made of longitudinally welded steel tubes. They are intended for such applications, where higher accuracy in dimensions and surface quality are reguired. The section tubes are supplied in quality parameters specified by the standards involded, which are listed in the tables.

Surface finish:
Drawn section tubes are supplied in bright surface finish. The weld at the outer surface may be visible, the inner collar is removed. The surface defects and scratches will not exceed a half of the wall thickness tolerance limit.
Heat treatment:
Drawn steel enclosed section tubes are supplied as required by the customer:
- without heat treatment (BK condition by DIN standard)
- normalized (NBK condition by DIN standard)

Tolerance limits of outer dimensions and the wall thickness meet appropriate standards. Following an agreement, square section tubes of all sizes and rectangular section tubes of longer size up to 60 mm may be supplied levelled.
Packing and designation:
The drawn steel section tubes are supplied in band-blocked square bundles which up to 2000 kg. Each bundle is fitted with the producer's label containing the data as follows:
- size
- steel grade
- lengths
- heat number
- weight in kg, by agreement length in m and number of pieces
- customer
The surface of the section tubes is protected from atmospheric corrosion with preserving agent.
