Longitudinally welded smooth steel tubes - description
Longitudinally welded tubes are made of either hot rolled or cold rolled steel strips. HF induction welding produces an excellent homogeneous joint with a minimal heat affected zone. Furthermore, the tubes are subjected to continuous annealing furnaces with shielding atmosphere, straightening machines, milling cutters, chamfering units, pressurizing press and non-destructive testing. All this guarantees a product of top quality. The parameters of welded tubes are manufactured to meet CSN, DIN, ISO and GOST standards.

The tubes are supplied with surface given by both the production technology and the base material properties:
- oxidized
- hot dip galvanized
The tubes are supplied with surface given by both the production technology and the base material properties: - oxidized - hot dip galvanized Hot dip galvanized tubes can be supplied in the range for tubes with outside diameter 22 mm to 114 mm with wall ticknes 1,8 mm to 4,5 mm, max. lenghts of top dip galvanized tubes are 7 meters hot dip galvanized layer: min. 400 g/m2. Even though the external collar of the weld has been removed the seam may be still visible. The size of the inner collar depends on the wall thickness and meets standard. Following an agreement, the collar can be minimized or removed.
Heat treatment:
Upon requirement, the tubes can be delivered:
- without heat treatment (BK condition by DIN standard)
- normalized (NBK condition by DIN standard)

Packing and designation:
The tubes are supplied in band-blocked bundles of up to 2000 kg. Each bundle is fitted with the producer's label containing the data as follows:
- size
- steel grade
- lengths
- heat number
- weight in kg, by agreement length in m and number of pieces
- customer
Upon request, the tubes may be marked with longitudinal description. The surface of the tubes is protected against atmospheric corrosion with a preserving agent
